I am a family of 5 - 3600 sq. ft. home. I feel like for what I pay - I am getting so much more. WORTH IT! First, my husband and I have had previous independent cleaners. When using an independent cleaner, there are risks. Fortunately, our concerns came from consistent call-outs and inconsistent cleaning. After our last, we decided to use a professional company. I did a lot of research and came across Sun Life. They have not disappointed. We had a professional walk-through where they explained in detail their processes, tools, and cleaning solutions. She was very knowledgeable about what they use which was awesome. She also showed me the complete hiring process for their staff which was so precise and showed true quality. Now, for the cleaning. We use the service semi-monthly. Regardless of who comes to clean, its always consistent cleaning. I know exactly what I am getting. And if I want more, I just need to let the team know in advance and they tell me the estimate. OR, I can use the time strategically and ask the cleaner to focus on areas and take away from others. My house is so beautiful for the hours following the clean to the time my kids come home 😜. The staff that come may vary, but each one is professional, and it's like they are apart of our family. Many remember our ongoing activities and EACH one is so great with our dogs and littles. Lastly, Sun Life works with me on every level. Pet Policies

We love furry friends and are happy to clean your home with pets present. Many client’s pets are fine to roam about while we are there, and we will note your pet’s names and any other important notes in the pet notes section of our electronic work order. If your pet is not commonly around strangers when you are not home, or they have ever shown aggressive behavior, it may be best to have them in a kennel or an area where we will not have contact with them for our safety. If you have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to discuss it with our office prior to your 1st cleaning.

Supplies & Equipment

Sun Life Cleaning provides all of the supplies and equipment needed to clean. We use mostly the Buckeye ECO line of products. We also use Bar Keepers Friend powder in certain places, including toilet bowls, and to remove build-up in showers. We use Dawn dish soap unless our clients have a different preference. While we do provide our own professional cleaning products that are eco-friendly and effective, we would need you to provide a product only if your flooring manufacturer provides a specific type of product that must be used. Examples will be if you have an oiled wood floor or a marble floor with specific products provided by the manufacturer. If you have any questions about the products we use in general, we are happy to provide more information and discuss how we can help meet your needs in the best way possible.

Cleaning for Health

At Sun Life Cleaning, we are cleaning for HEALTH, not just appearance. We provide freshly laundered linens for every home we clean, which are color-coded based on whether they are used for glass, bathrooms, kitchen, or general cleaning. We sanitize touch points at every cleaning.

Employees, Not Subcontractors

All of our cleaning technicians are W-2 staff, NOT subcontractors. It’s important to have employees, rather than subcontractors. This allows us to legally be able to provide training, uniforms, supervision, etc. We also provide our employees with insurance, paid time off, equipment, and supplies, and all are covered under our liability and workers compensations insurance policies. This is a protection not only for our clients but also our staff. Although there are companies who choose to use subcontractors, it is not legal to do so for cleaning service companies and would not allow us to provide any of the above that we do with employees, even including their training and equipment. Sun Life Maids has and will continue to lead the industry in professional cleaning services and employs only employee cleaning technicians.

Tips & Gratuities

Clients are certainly welcome to show their appreciation to our hard-working, professional staff by tipping, but it is not required. You may tip your technicians with a clear marked cash tip, or you may add a tip to your credit card by adding it to your texted or emailed scorecard after your cleaning is completed. You can also let us know if you prefer to add a standing tip to your account and we have the ability to add this to your file regularly, and it will automatically be put on the paycheck of your staff.

Home Access & Work Order Security

Most clients who won’t be home during cleaning provide us a code for an electronic entry keypad, garage code, or code to a lockbox on the property with a key inside. Codes are saved in our electronic work order system and are very secure as they are not viewable at any time except by office staff and on the day of service are viewable only to the cleaning technician assigned to your home, and only after they are clocked in for the day. We do not keep keys for residential properties, but we do for commercial offices.

Rescheduling & Cancellation Policies

Please provide a 24-48 hour or more notice if you need to change your cleaning day. We send several reminders in email and text to help you if you forget. It is important that we have enough time to adjust the schedule in advance to keep our technician’s schedule full and to help find you a time that works best. If you fail to notify us of your cancellation or reschedule in less than 24 hours, we will charge a $50 late cancellation fee to your account.

Will I Have the Same Technician

Consistency is very important to us as it is to our clients. For that reason, we track and record who cleans your home and try to have as much consistency as possible. We typically train 3 technicians on each home so that we have someone to cover when someone is out sick or on vacation.

Satisfaction Guarantee

We want our clients to find immense value in their service, especially as time goes on. We provide an internally used scorecard to you immediately when your cleaning is complete. If there is anything that was missed that was supposed to be cleaned, please let us know within 24 hours, and we will be happy to return and re-clean the missed areas.

2-Step Ladder Only

For the safety of our staff, we only hand wash what can be reached on a 2-step ladder and are not allowed to use anything taller. For higher-reach cleaning, we would need to use an extension pole to dust up high. We would ask if you have ceilings over 10 feet, that you provide an extension pole if you would like us to clean those high-to-reach places.
